About
I teach critical and visual practice in photography.
My research practice is based on moving image and sound recordings of environmental spaces and contemporary musicians in performance.
I currently lead two research workshops funded by Nottingham Trent University,
Perceptions of Practice: based in photographic practice and is joint led with Fiona Maclaren
Eco-tone: An interdisciplinary investigation of the experience of environment through practice, and of the differing ecologies of practice employed when engaging with environment. The project brings into proximity artists, philosophers, geographers, musicians, performers, scientists and others to set a series of spatial relations in play that enhance collective sensitivity to environment. The first Eco-tone event is on 28 June 2011 and will consider phenomenology and object oriented ontology in relation to ecological engagement.
