My academic interests include: socio-theology; historical sociology; dress codes and fashion change; visual sociology; history of ideas; debates around postmoderism/post-secularity. I have published in each of these areas, sometimes separately, at other times in combination. I am interested in interdisciplinarity/transdisciplinarity.

My personal interests include: biographies; music (lots of across a wide range) - keep threatening to take my cello-playing seriously!; dadaism/new art & photography;  composing poetry/scatty verse/plays; fantasy, fiction, facticity; laughter ...
